The Grove is the place to spend a nice night outdoors in Miami this weekend.
Friday night there is the Secrets of Coconut Grove Twilight Walking Tour. Remember to bring a flashlight.
If you love the moonlight and water mix then Saturday night (April 19th) go for a moonlight sail with Shake-a-Leg Miami.
Hmm ok keep the flashlight on you for the entire weekend.
Fireside Fridays the monthly happy hour at Grove Isle is happening again this Friday.
And this Friday will also be extra happy as they’re celebrating Next In Line’s 4th Anniversary.
Grove Isle’s Fireside Friday the best monthly happy hour in town will be taking place this Friday night. Fireside Fridays is held the last Friday of the month. This time the cocktails torch has been passed on to Dewars 12.
If you’re trying to avoid the crowds on South Beach this weekend, you might want to try a laid back night in the Grove.
Nikki Coconut Grove is open and it’s a nice alternative to the usual spots in the Grove. It’s adjacent to the Sonesta and parking is easy because there is a parking garage right next to it.
This Wednesday, February 20th Vizcaya will be hosting its second Moonlight Garden Tour of the Year. There will be live music and light refreshments (for sale) as guests tour the garden by moonlight.
The Moonlight Garden Tours are offered once a month from January to April. You’ve got three more chances this year. Cost is $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors, students, and members.
The tours occur the same week as the full moon. In case you’re wondering the actual full moons fall on the following dates:
- Thursday, February 21
- Friday, March 21
- Sunday, April 20
In between chic shops and charming restaurants in Coconut Grove there lies the Arts and Minds Center. And this spring the International Institute of Human Understanding will be holding courses at the center. The Open U offers a wide range of courses from comparative religion to painting and even a workshop on how relationships change your brain. The faculty is composed of leading local professionals. Registration ends this week and classes begin next week and last for six weeks.
This Friday the hottest happy hour is Fireside Fridays at Grove Isle in Coconut Grove. There will be a Fire Spinner and Bombay Sapphire will be providing complimentary cocktails from 6-8 p.m. Fireside Fridays take place the last Friday of the month.
It’s a busy week in Miami as several events kick off and as I sat at my computer looking over my emails and scanning the menu at Whisk for my usual Monday lunch salad (Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Organic Spinach Salad w/ Shaved Red Onion, Local Avocado Slices, Chopped Egg, Cremini Mushrooms & Honey-Mustard Dressing) and cupcake, (Mondays and Wednesdays are Misha’s cupcakes days at Whisk gourmet) I noticed the link to peniferella at the bottom of the screen and I was delighted to find a great design studio.
